Presentation by Morton Photographic Society- Friday 11th March 202

Last night Morton PS joined us to share some of their members work with us. We began the evening with one members panel he had presented for the award of his CPAGB. The panel comprising 10 images - landscape and nature. Following this we enjoyed a range of images taken using ICM in a variety of ways. ICM was experimented with to give a range of colours and effects.

We then viewed some AV’s, the first of which took us on a tour of Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands, with the many tulips in full bloom. Following this we viewed a range of sunset shots, a tour through Greece, an AV entitled ‘The Ugly Bug Ball’.

Two more AVs illustrated some amazing street art to be found in the Digbeth area of Birmingham, and secondly an area in France. The final AV showed the wide range of birds and animals that can be found around the locality.

Following this we were taken on a tour of NE Brazil and finally we watched how one member combines and blends his images in Photoshop to create some very effective composites.

Our thanks to all the members of Morton for putting together such an interesting and enjoyable evening.

Next week John Fare will be presenting his perspective of 2021 and talking about Infrared Photography.

A reminder that images for the Chairman’s Challenge – MOVEMENT – should be submitted to the Competition Secretary by Friday 1st April. (2 DPI’s)
