John Gravett – What can I shoot during Lockdown/The Lakes Autumn and Winter – Friday 29th January 20
This evening John Gravett made a welcome return to share with us some of his work through the course of the last year.
During the first half he showed a range of images utilising subjects in and around the home and garden, several involving alcohol! They were all viewed and interpreted in a range of interesting ways. Techniques involved photo stacking, use of extension tubes, use of photoshop to manipulate. Some interesting ideas that we can all put to good use through Lockdown and beyond. For more information you can visit the John Gravett Youtube channel.
In the second part of the evening John took us on a tour of the Lakes, but because of Lockdowns through the year, mostly local to the Keswick area, and many taken on his fell walks, so from high levels. The images showed the full range of weather we experience in the Lakes. From Autumn sunshine through to winter snows and fog, and some stunning cloud formations. Some fantastic images. Our thanks to John for giving us a varied and entertaining evening. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
A reminder that next week is our Landscape Competition when Adrian Gidney will be judging. Images for the People Competition should also be submitted. The following week, the 12th, Dave Mason will be presenting, via Zoom, Street Photography plus Urban Landscapes
