Cumbria Thro' the Lens

Updated: Mar 26

Copeland Photographic Society and Workington & District Camera Club, are holding a joint exhibition at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven. The title of the exhibition is 'Cumbria Thro' the Lens' . The exhibition will run from the 5th Feb to the 20th March. There will be approximately 250 mounted prints on display, plus another 100 being displayed on a monitor as a slide show. All the images have been taken in Cumbria and highlight the beauty of the place in which we live. All seen through the eyes of local photographers. Well worth popping along and having a look. Bring your family and friends.

This is an ideal opportunity to raise the profile of the two clubs, and to show the general public/visitors the high standard of work from both clubs. Hopefully it will initiate discussions and encourage new members to join our respective clubs.

For details of the exhibition visit the Beacon Museum facebook page.

Brian Coley from Workington and District Camera Club is giving a talk on 8 February entitled Cockermouth 50 years on – a photographic project.
