Phil Buckle - Friday 22nd February 2019 –  Around the Lakes in 80 Days and Kase Filters Demonstratio

Phil Buckle was our speaker this evening. He started with a brief demonstration of the Kase Filter System. If any member is interested, they can contact Phil and they will be entitled to 10% discount on their order.

He continued with his presentation ‘Around the Lakes in 80 Days’. Day 1 had us on the Old Corpse Road at Haweswater. From there we were taken to Ullswater, Brother’s Water, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell. From there we were transported to Elterwater and then on to the Langdales and Blea Tarn. We then reached Coniston, Wasdale and then onto Crummock Water and Buttermere. By Day 55 we were being taken over Honister towards the Borrowdale Valley and on to Derwent Water. We ended Day 80 in Evening Bank Wood, Dalemain.

A very entertaining tour through the Lakes, giving us several new viewpoints to take advantage of.

A full list of his viewpoints will be found here in a few days!

A reminder that next week images for the Image of the Year Competition need to be handed in and PDI’s for the Chairman’s Challenge need to be in by Friday 15th March.
